The global need for effective Business and Management Education cannot be overemphasized. Several factors within the African context, especially Nigeria, converge to shape the business environment — socially, legally, economically, politically, and technologically. It becomes imperative to produce Business and Management graduates, and provide effective executive development education, that can navigate these realities.

Babcock Business School is positioned to provide customised management education targeted at real needs, through our 70/30 Town-and-Gown model, at a moderate cost — creating a competitive advantage that is fairly difficult and costly to imitate. Our Strategic Plan is drafted on the University's core values of Excellence, Integrity, Accountability, Team Spirit, Servant Leadership, Autonomy with Responsibility, and Adventist Heritage.

It is believed that these initiatives will produce highly competitive graduates who are solution providers and high flyers — hence the adoption of a feedback system to stakeholders through publication of this Book of Abstracts, in print and open access. Every doctoral student at BBS publishes at least two high-impact papers in reputable outlets before the final viva, a condition precedent.
